This is a video we put together to give you an idea what to expect if you go to see the Tour De France. We spent the first half staying in tents. We would not suggest this as they fill up and many of the places would only let the French stay in them. Also would not suggest staying in a Microtel motel. They are small, no a/c, and the the showers are in a porta potty structure at the end of the hall. In 2002, they let you ride the course until about an hour before the riders came through. It's a once in a life time opportunity. Nothing cooler than telling your cycling buddies you climbed the Alp D'Huez
