SPINNER X SMASHER O que é melhor? Girar bastante o pedal em uma marcha mais levezinha ou girar menos e fazer mais força com uma marcha mais pesada? A resposta vai variar um pouco. Varia de estilo para estilo e de ciclista para ciclista, mesmo assim, vai ser difícil apontar quem tem razão. Ambas maneiras de pedalar funcionam, comprovadamente. Ciclistas que adotam o primeiro estilo (alto giro, marcha leve, menos força) são chamados em língua inglesa de "spinners", (do verbo inglês to spin = girar). Já ciclistas do segundo tipo (menos giro, marcha pesada, mais força) são conhecidos como smashers (to smash = quebrar, esmagar). Aliás, nada como bons termos em inglês para explicar em uma só palavra uma definição que levaria um parágrafo inteiro em português para explicar. No Tour de France 2001, durante uma das etapas decisivas de montanha, o norte-americano Lance Armstrong (spinner) vinha sendo marcado de perto pelo alemão Jan Ullrich (smasher) A diferença de rotação de pernas era visível. Armstrong, em geral, pedala com rotações acima dos 100-110 rpm, enquanto que seu rival alemão faz mais força girando o pedal entre 75-85 rpm. Em uma longa subida, fazer mais força que o adversário pode ser a diferença entre a glória ea derrota. O norte-americano parecia tranqüilo com o alto ritmo das pedaladas. D'une hauteur de 63 m au niveau du toit et de 92 m au sommet de l'antenne, elle était de par son architecture unique avec son château d'eau de 1000m3 sur le toit, et de son emplacement au sommet de la colline de Montreynaud un repère visuelle pour tout le bassin Stéphanois. Тринадцатый этап Тур де Франс -- 2011 можно с полным правом назвать этапом имени Тора Хушовда. Отобравшись в состав раннего отрыва, норвежец первым начал восхождение к вершине Обиск. Затем к нему присоединились Монкутье и Руа. Разумеется, французам достаточно быстро удалось оставить Тора позади. На горном финише Руа опередил Монкутье на 45 секунд, и на 2 минуты - Хушовда. Но Руа не учел, что Хушовд является неплохим мастером спуска, и на пару с Монкутье норвежцу удалось организовать преследование. Хотя справедливости ради надо отметить, что работал в этом дуэте, в основном, Хушовд. Его усилиями паре преследователей удалось приблизиться к Руа. А за 2 километра до финиша этапа Тор -- громовержец начал свое блестящее соло, которое закончилось под аплодисменты болельщиков, собравшихся в Лурде. Норвежец стал первым действующим чемпионом мира, одержавшим индивидуальную победу на этапах Большой Петли с тех пор, как в 2002 году подобного же успеха добился Оскар Фрейре. Ну, а Жереми Руа, не скрывавший после финиша своего разочарования, мог утешиться разве лишь тем, что облачился по итогам этапа в майку горного короля Тура (С)

Le 30 septembre 2009, dans son émission « L'objet du scandale » sur France 2, Guillaume Durand organisait un débat sur les attentats du 11 septembre 2001 intitulé : « 11 SEPTEMBRE : POURQUOI LES STARS DOUTENT ». Pour comprendre ce qui peut que se passer dans la tête de ceux qui ne croient plus à la version officielle du 11 Septembre, Guillaume Durand avait invité quatre intervenants censés expliquer aux téléspectateurs de France 2 en quoi les doutes des sceptiques étaient absolument sans fondement... Or, ce spécial 11-Septembre de Durand fut à l'antipode du débat contradictoire, la thèse officielle du 11 Septembre étant d'emblée considérée comme acquise... Guillaume Durand avait choisi d'aborder 5 points régulièrement contestés par les sceptiques de la version officielle. L'association citoyenne ReOpen911 a choisi de se pencher à son tour sur 5 points de l'émission de Guillaume Durand qui, pour chacun d'entre eux, pourraient bien représenter un « objet du scandale ».
