Cervelo Road Bikes
When Cervelo started making road racing bicycles in 1995, its mission was to help competing cyclists win races. Today, its mission is safely smack on its target, as a Cervelo brought 10 Olympic cyclists to the winners’ podium in the 2008 Beijing Summer Games, a record mark likely to stand for some time.
One of the main unique features of certain Cervelo framesets is their compact frames and aerodynamic narrow teardrop shaped down tubes found on the Soloist and P series. Cervelo does not use NACA compliant aerodynamic profiles since their bikes are designed for much higher speeds than those attained on other bikes.

Such relentless pursuit for victory is the result of the groundbreaking technology that goes with the road racing bicycles of Cervelo. Its P3 model which counts the most pro cycling championships is a classic example of a machine designed to ward off pursuers.
The P3’s light structure is complemented with a super thin head-tube for an aerodynamic assault of the race course. The P3, also sold as a frameset, is but of course compliant with the rules and regulations of the cycling governing body, UCI.
Much attention has also been paid on aerodynamic stands to ensure that seat-tube airflow predominantly remains on a horizontal plane. The seat-tube of the P3 is also curved, sitting farther off the rear wheel than any other design, contributing to further improved aerodynamics which is also enhanced by seat-stays seamlessly blending into the main triangle.
All these aerodynamics designs, however, do not sacrifice rider convenience. The P3 for instance sports an integrated accessory attachment which allows access to a carriage system at the rear end of the seat post. Mix this contraption the easily installed and easily maintained Cervelo cable routing system standard to its models, and another trip to the victory stand couldn’t be far behind.
